Welcome back!
After the show we had to stay in (sweaty) costume, throw some powder on our faces and take group pictures with all the big name folks that came to the premiere. I wish I could say that I was up on my German superstars but unfortunately I did a lot of posing and smiling while muttering to the nearest colleague "And who is this guy?" There were photographers EVERYWHERE hollering "Here! Here! You look beautiful! Look here! This camera! Me, me!" Bizarre.
****To see some of the celebs with our cast check out the gallery by following this link*****

I don't have ton of pictures of my own yet because they're on Ryan's camera and he's off being fabulous on tour:). I snatched a couple from friends on facebook though. And here's an AMAZING vdieo of the premiere festivities! Click on the top left photo of Buddy (under the word "Premiere") to watch the "Musicals & More TV" video. Enjoy!

My grand entrance/solo bow. Yes, I am the fuzzy purple figure emerging from the smoke:)

My snazzy Premiere shoes!
Funny Story: I wore these 3 1/2 inch heels at the risk of (very) public humiliation. At the after-show gala I had to enter take a solo bow and then descend a flight of moderately stable stairs in front of a few thousand theatre guests, producers, CEOs, journalists and photographers. I didn't have an oppurtunity to practice in the shoes like I wanted to, but I thought "I'll just pray and go."
What I DIDN'T know is that as soon as my name was announced the crew would pump the stage full of smoke, large confetti stars would fall from the heavens and the moderately stable staircase would be almost completely obscured by red white and blue balloons.
Super.
So, what did I do? I pulled out my inner diva. I entered, took a VERY indulgent (but hopefully gracious) pose and waved gleefully to the cameras while I secretly assessed the danger below. Praise the Lord, I was able to carefully navigate around the balloon and confetti debris and reach the ground without doing anything that would show up in all the morning papers. Success.
Thanks for reading! If you liked it, leave a note. I have a feeling many more people read my blog than I realize and honestly it really creeps me out that I don't know who is following along. Just say hi. It'll make my day!
All the best!
